ForeverMissed
This memorial website is dedicated to the memory of Denise Alma Moshette-Reed, beloved mother, daughter, and friend. Her untimely passing left an irreplaceable gap in all of our lives, but we choose to remember her as the brilliant, industrious, and vibrant woman she was. Born in New York to Sydney Moshette and Vivian Baken, her life was a joyous one filled with family, travel, voracious reading, and a passion for design. She met Theodric Reed in California, and gifted to the world her son Jared Reed. After receiving her Masters degree she transformed the California Department of Rehabilitation for many years, dedicated to bettering the lives of those less fortunate. Shortly after loyally caring for her mother during her last days, she was tragically diagnosed and swiftly lost to breast cancer, but her loss only reflects the unique impact she had on all of us.

Please be encouraged to keep, share, and add photos to this website in her memory, and thank you for visiting.

Back in 1968 we were two kids whose parents decided to move us to California (me from Chicago and Denise from NY) in our senior year of high school. We met in homeroom (where they stuck all of us out-of-state kids). We started dating in high school, went to the prom together, remained friends after graduation and had a friendship that lasted 52 years. Jared is my Godson, and I have been blessed to have watched him grow into a fantastic young man. Denise, I miss you my friend... Rest well with the other Angeles in Heaven.

Admiration for Denise

Shared by Bonnie Hayes Dykes on May 27, 2021
Denise has always been a force of nature! Denise‘s mom and my mom were good friends for decades and I was blessed to connect with DENISE.She’s always been very sure of what she likes and what she wants, I admire her for her devotion and commitment to her family, especially her son Jared! I enjoyed visualizing all of her beautiful interior decorating creations and laughing at her life stories which she told me frequently. Even her baking was beautiful I love the designs she would cookie cut into her pie crust. Her presence was strong in my life and in my friend Kendis’s life. My outings with Denise were always a welcome experience, whether it be a restaurant or Pageant of the Masters or an outdoor concert. She always told me exactly what she thinks and I admire her for that as well! I know her spirit is eternal and I know her spirit is love I know she is still blessing us in many ways!
