In loving memory of Denise Fidiam, 64, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and teacher.  Denise was born on April 21, 1951 and passed away on August 20, 2015.

Denise is survived by her sons Vernon Moore and Scott Moore, her granddaughter Selene Grace Moore, sister Barbera Nappi, brother-in-law Lou Nappi, sister Verna Lesko and brother-in-law Richard Lesko and several nieces and nephews.  She was pre-deceased by her nephew, Louis Nappi.

Ms Fid, as she was known by her students, taught high school English  for over 30 years. She touched so many lives and made such a difference to the kids that others had given up on.  She had a way of making everyone feel special.  Denise loved teaching and the kids she taught.  She will always be remembered for her sarcastic wit and contagious laugh.  Her light will shine on in our hearts forever.

Thoughts and prayers are with all today as you celebrated Denise's life. So sorry that I wS unable to be with you. Denise was the first person I met when I started at THS. She was busy setting up her room but took a moment to welcome me . Her room was only two doors down. I remember her wonderful laugh  Denise was not afraid to speak her mind yet she would be one of the first to give you a big hug on a bad day. We shared a love of animals (I remember how upset she was when her dog died ) but most of all I remember how much she loved her two sons. And how her eyes lit up talking about her granddaughter She was always there for them just as she was always there for her students.  Rest in peace.

I remember the time that Denise accompanied me to visitf my Aunt Sister Mary (anxiety) DeLourdes at the old nuns home in Morristown, NJ.  For Denise it was like old home week.  My aunt was a Sister of Charity and Denise had taught for the sisters in a New Jersey school.  She knew many of the nuns, both residents and staff, at the home that I thought we would never get out ot there.  She went from one to another reminiscing about old times. Denise was a special person and she will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

My most vivid memories of Denise are on the farm.  She was a fixture in our family for so many years.  Always came to picnics and birthday parties.  I remember one particular year when my daughter, Crystal, had a birthday party for her daughter, Haven on the farm and all the rich kids from Rembrook were there.  The driveway was fllled with Benzes, BMW's, Caddies, Audis and then our run of the mill vehicles over in the corner.  These country bumpkins were feeling a little out of our league but Denise just laughed it off.  We tailgated on my Trailblazer and observed the festivities from a distance and had a grand old time.  Her laugh echoing through the neighborhood.

Shakespeare

You made my years of high school English so much fun! I enjoyed Shakespeare because of the way you taught it and loved your teaching style. You were always there for each and every student...

You will always be my favorite teacher....always.

Much love and rock those heavens!!! Teach the souls with you up there, who never got a chance to learn to read or learn Shakespeare and make them enjoy it, just as you did with so many of us!
