Dennis Edward Jackson also known as "Sonny Boy"or "Action Jackson", born September 2, 1948 to the late John Edward Jackson and Gertrude Bey Jackson, departed this life on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in Washington, DC.
He leaves to cherish his memory 1 daughter Shelita, 3 sons Eric, Donnell and Sean, and 2 daughters of love Kia and Nicole, 2 daughter's-in-law Allison and Yvette, 2 son-in-laws Henry III and Antoine, 2 sisters Martha and Sharon, 1 brother-in-law Charles, 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Dennis attended Lincoln Elementary school in Vista (Lanham) Md where he was a safety patrol and only completed the 11th grade. However, at the age of 16, he was recruited by IBM to work as a Computer Programmer for their company. Dennis has been said to be a "Jack of all trades" and a "Master of many". Over the years he had often worked as a Carpet-Fitter, Car Salesman, Mixologist, and Real Estate Agent just to name a few. Dennis was always "the life of the party" wherever he went and he exuberated a natural charm that everyone loved and adored. Everyone that knew him knows how much he loved rock-n-roll music. He was also an excellent cook, dancer, pool player and an avid Law and Order aficionado. He once even saved a child from a fire by jumping from a burning building. When recognized for his heroic act of kindness he simply stated, "I'm not a hero, I was just in the right place at the right time".

Missing your wild and free Spirit.
I hope you accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life before your last breath.
God Bless you Sharon, Asia and family.
All these lines on my face getting clearer
The past is gone
It went by, like dusk to dawn
Isn't that the way
Everybody's got the dues in life to pay
I know nobody knows
Where it comes and where it goes
I know it's everybody sin
You got to lose to know how to win
Half my life
Is books written pages
Live and learn from fools and
From sages
You know it's true, oh
All these things you do come back to you
Sing with me, sing for the years
Sing for the laughter, sing for the tears
Sing with me, just for today
Maybe tomorrow, the good lord will take you away
Dream on .....Till your dreams come true

Have you seen my hubcap?
I remember waking up in the middle of the night looking for my car (Mustang Sally).Boo-Boo told me you and Rita were racing on Baltimore Washington Parkway. When I finally got my vehicle back, the hubcap was missing. Never found it.Later on that week ,I was driving to school down Baltimore Washington Parkway and the muffler just fell out the back of my car.Thank you Dennis for always making everybody's life just as exciting as yours.Missing you alot on your birthday today.I can just imagine you flying recklessly in Heaven with your new wings.
My uncle Dennis
I don't have much memory of my uncle throughout my childhood, but as an adult he has had my back when I needed him most. Uncle Dennis was a caring man with a wicked sense of humor. Even if he wasn't happy at with whatever or whomever at the time, he had no problem expressing that and still manage to make you laugh while he was upset. Uncle Dennis was far from an angle, but he was a great man just like his baby brother. Two great men will meet again in heaven. My uncle will be missed but never forgotten. Until we meet again R.I.P unc your nephew....... Legacy
