His Life

I remember the day Dennis and our grandsons made a fort in our living room

June 21, 2020
I was working downstairs in the office. Dennis was the babysitter for the day. He moved the furniture in the livingroom with the help of our grandsons Aidan and Noah to make a fort. I came up for lunch and they all were sound asleep in the fort I had climb over the couch to touch the floor so I could find them. The whole living room was a fort made of sheets and blankets and chairs and couch cushions and I forgot the coffee table that he made. Noah was inside the coffee table and Aidan was with grandpa all three were sound asleep. The is the best time.

A Good Man and Proud Marine

November 16, 2014

I will never forget the day I met Dennis Thomas:

He was married to Astuko Thomas for over 40 years
He had two daughters Mary and Kat and his son Mike
He also had three beautiful granddaughters (one one was born two days after his death)
He had a very loving family His mother and father passed away a few years ago.
He left behind two loving sisters Karen and Pat

In  Feb 2010 Dennis married Paula . They were married 2 years and 1 month and 4 days when he passed away  Her sons became a part of his family. At that point he became a grandfather to her grandchildren also. They were small and he would play hide and seek with them and he would build forts with the coffee table that he build. He added Paula's 5 grandchildren to his family as his own grandchildren.  They miss their PopPop very much ( thats what they called him).  Between the both of them Dennis and Paula had 8 grandchildren

He was a very proud Marine. And always loved his Marine Corp brothers . We started going to reunions with the guys from Sasabo Japan. He loved going there and seeing all his brothers in the Corp.  That last one he went to was in Nov 2011 Even tho he was not feeling well he had to be there. Which I was happy that he and I got to go to that because he really  was a true and Proud Marine from the time he went in to the Marines to the day he passed away. Now he is up in heaven watching over all his brothers in Marine Corps and his family.

I am sure that he is in Gods Marine Corp with all the fellow Marines. As they are a brotherhood. They watch and protect  all of us and their loved ones

As they as they say  ONCE A MARINE ALWAYS A MARINE

LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU
