Dennis Lamar Owens was born on June 16, 1965,  He was the son of Mattie B. Owens and Willie Woodard.    

He was preceded in death by his mother and sister.  Dennis peacefully departed from this world on May 30, 2014.  

He joined the Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age.  Dennis was a graduate of Newnan High School Class of 1984.  He actively served in the United States Air Force.  He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Tracey Rhodes.  

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, wife, Tracey; daughter, Yunna; stepson, Derrious.  He also leaves to cherish, his father and stepmom, Mr. & Mrs. Willie James Woodard (Johnnie Mae); sisters, Annie Joyce Hill, Deborah Owens, Jackie Owens, Shelia, Lisa and Willameana; brothers, Ronnie, Ricky, Kenny, William (Bo), Wayne, Sherman; adopted parents, John and Francis Matthews; aunts, Sandra and Jeanette; uncle, Marvin; best friend and little brother, Dexter Matthews; special cousin, Mechelle Partridge; good friend, James Brown; God children, Shiyuanna, Anauia and John.
