His Life
August 12, 2015

Dennis was "living the dream" once he arrived in Green Valley, AZ. He had just retired from Madigan Army Hospital as an Electrician in 2005 and had to wait one more year for Sharlene's retirement in 2006 to move to their home in AZ.

He often said if they put a wall around GV, locked the gate and threw away the key he'd be happy to never leave. Vacation? He said this life here is Vacation!

Dennis was born in Montana but had lived many places as an Army brat, Georgia, Schofield Barracks at Oahu,Hawaii, Paso Robles, CA, the Presideo in San Francisco  and finally Lakewood, WA. Because of this he was tough, adaptable and good at making friends.

Dennis served 4 years in the USMC, worked as an electrician for the State of Washington at Western State Hospital and then for the Federal Government at Madigan Army Hospital.

Throughout his life and in retirement Dennis made many friends, and he loved each one dearly. He couldn't believe how blessed he and Sharlene were to find such wonderful friends and golf buddies. Dennis volunteered with the GV Fire Corps and really had found his niche there, enjoying the comraderie of the entire Fire District.

A wonderful husband, terrific stepdad and a great friend to many, Dennis will truly be "forever missed".

Preceeding him in death were his brother Ronald Reams and sister Bonnie Bullatt.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sharlene, stepson Kevin Peterson, stepdaughter, Karen Horan, nephews Rick Bullatt, Tod Reams, Shawn Reams, niece Eddie Lynn, grandchildren Seth, Abby, Maya, and Nina (and born shortly after his death, his first great granddaughter who shares his middle name, Bay Ray-Lynn).
