Derek made the move back to Calgary, Alberta, Canada in February 2002. John, Nyree, Jordan and Katie (born July 2002) had the pleasure of spending time with Dad/Grandad. Dad nicknamed himself "Old Meanie" when he stopped Jordan (then a toddler) from climbing up on the furniture. His Phantom of the Opera songs were greatly enjoyed by the whole family. Dad met Mavis shortly after moving to Calgary and she soon became family. We're very grateful for this time.
