Derrick Alan Dale, age, 48 passed away peacefully at the home of his brother and sister in laws in Bessemer, Alabama on December 18, 2018. Derrick began his journey two years ago when he was diagnosed with cancer. He fought courageously every step of the way till the end.

He is survived by his father Robert Dale Sr. (Jamie), Mother Theresa Taylor Evans (Dennis), Fiance Stacie Long, His son Dustin Dale (Lizy), grandson Maximillion Dale, daughters Samantha Dale, Christen Dale, Chloe Alvarado (Glenn), Brother Robert Dale Jr. (Brandi), sister Tehela Dale and numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death and reunited with his baby boy Mason Andrew Dale, Grandparents William and Betty Dale, Connie and James Taylor, Uncles John Dale and David Taylor, and his nephew William James Dale.
Derrick was born in Kansas City, Missouri on June 12, 1970. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and welcoming personality. He had a great passion for music, from writing, singing and teaching himself to play any instrument at a young age.
Upon Derrick's request he was cremated and a private service was held for Derrick at his brothers house in Bessemer, Alabama. We would like to thank the hospice team at compassus for all they have done. Also there will always be a special place in our hearts for his nurses Tasha in Missouri and Netty in Alabama. We couldn't have gotten through this without you.

God saw you getting tired when a cure was not to be.

So he wrapped his arms around you, and whispered, "Come unto me".

You didn't deserve what you went through, and so he gave you rest.

God's garden must be beautiful, he only takes the best.

So when I saw you sleeping, so peaceful and free of pain, I could

not wish you to come back, to suffer that all again. We love you Derrick and you

will always be in our hearts.
