Diana Lynne Baker was born on June 1, 1944 to Glenn and Dolores Baker in San Francisco, California.  She also had a brother Bruce who was 8 years younger. She was very close to her grandparents Carl and Mary Hagen and her Aunt Norma also. She spent a lot of her youth camping, snow skiing, water skiing, fishing, swimming and doing outdoorsy things with her family. She lived in a couple of different houses in Oakland and later on moved to San Leandro.  In her teen years, and throughout the rest of her life, she was a huge Elvis Presley fan. She made a lot of friends, including her lifelong friends Kay and Vivian Bates who were sisters.

Diana graduated from Arroyo High School in 1961. She then started taking classes at Chabot Community College. She also had a job at Sunshine Bakery. This is when she met her first husband, Michael John Day. She was at a vending machine and didn't have enough change, and Michael stepped up and helped her out. They started dating right after that, and got married on May 31, 1964. They initially lived in Hayward, and then bought a house in Fremont, California.

On December 3rd, 1968 Diana and Michael had a daughter, Michele Renee. They had their second daughter, Monica Lynne on July 28, 1976. They moved to Pleasanton in January, 1978.

In 1980 Diana and Michael got divorced.  She then joined a club called PWP (parents without partners) and met her second husband, Robert (Bob) Henninger. They moved to Quincy with Diana's two girls and Bob's son Rob. When she was in Quincy Diana spent some time racing cars and horseback riding.

In 1983 Diana discovered that her mother had cancer, and she, Bob and Monica moved to their house in San Leandro to help take care of her. At this time Michele moved in with her Dad and his family in Pleasanton.

 When her mother passed away Diana moved to Livermore. Her father got a house in Livermore also across the street from them. Just a couple of years later her dad also passed away, and Diana, Bob and Monica bought a house in Castro Valley.

Diana and Bob got divorced and she bought a condo for her and Monica in Castro Valley and got a job at Lucky Stores. At this time she really enjoyed her independence and being on her own for the first time in her life. She spent a lot of time with her daughters, Monica was in junior high school, and Michele was an adult out on her own, but they spent a lot of time together, they especially enjoyed going to the Mormon Temple and looking through records to work on their family tree. 

In 1998 Diana started dating Dennis Hill. The interesting thing about that was that they went to Arroyo High School together, and she went to his Senior Ball with him (she was a junior at the time). They dated a few times and then lost touch. They ran into each other again in 1981 at Dennis' job at Codiroli Ford when Diana went in to get a part for her Mustang. He told her that he still had her picture in his wallet and asked her out for coffee. She declined because she was married at the time. In 1998 she decided to send him an email and see what he was up to. They ended up dating, and then got married on September 12, 1999.

Her daughter Michele got married to Kevin Andrews on December 13, 1997 and they gave Diana 3 grandkids, Sonora Renee was born on September 20, 1998, Camryn Emma on February 13, 2001 and Thomas Michael on June 29, 2003. 

In 2001 Diana and Dennis bought a house in Port Orchard, Washington. Monica had already moved up to Seattle with her then husband Toby Porter. Diana and Dennis were very happy living in Port Orchard, they really liked the weather and the small town feel. 

In 2011 Dennis passed away. Shortly after her brother Bruce also passed away. She stayed in her house in Port Orchard for quite awhile, but eventually in 2015 she rented a townhouse in Edmonds so she could be closer to Monica. 

Diana had fallen down the stairs at her house in Port Orchard and fractured her back, and after this time she started to get scoliosis which got progressively worse as the years went by. Even though it was harder for her to get around, she was excited that she had started using a senior driving service to drive her around to do errands. She still enjoyed talking to her daughters and grandkids, and her many friends on the phone. 

Diana passed away on November 7th, 2018.

Diana's interests during her life included water skiing, painting ceramics,race car driving,  horseback riding, dancing, working on her family tree,antiques,  spending time with her kids and grandkids, and Elvis. 

Diana truly had a way of making people feel special. Both people close to her and strangers. When Diana went shopping she would buy food for the homeless people out front. She was always there to talk when anyone had a problem, and she was never judgemental. She just liked to laugh and have fun. She will be missed by everyone that knew her.
