Diana Cooper McIntosh, age 73 of Birmingham, passed away on June 9, 2023. Diana is preceded in death by her husband, William McIntosh; her parents, Lloyd Cooper and Reba Hamby; her brothers, Freddy Cooper and Lloyd Cooper Jr; and her two grandchildren, Joshua Hester and Derek Carter.

Diana is survived by her brother, Mike Cooper (Joyce); two children, Keith Hester (Laurel) and Lisa Jones (David); her grandchildren, Michael Hester (Melissa), Delaine Hester (Dusty), Gavin Jones and Drake Jones; and her four great grandchildren.

Diana worked at Collateral Mortgage/NewSouth Federal for 32 years. She had a huge heart and always put others before herself. She would go out of her way to take care of friends, family, and her beloved pets. She enjoyed treating her grandchildren to special snacks when they visited. She was sentimental and loved sharing sweet memories about her family. Her fun-loving spirit put a smile on everyone’s face. She will be remembered for the sparkle in her bright blue eyes and her obsession with Elvis. She was fiercely independent and a loyal friend. She loved to sit outside watching nature. Her favorite places were at the lake and on her porch overlooking the creek. She will be deeply missed.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at LifeChurch Birmingham, 5567 Chalkville Rd, Birmingham, AL 35235, followed by a memorial service beginning at 1:00 PM. Dress will be casual.
