Dillard  “Dewey” Persinger, of Crab Orchard, W.Va., was born October 16, 1977 in  Beckley.  A lifelong resident of Crab Orchard, Dewey loved listening to  country music and dedicated his time to family and friends.  Dewey lost  his life at age 32 in the Upper Big Branch mine disaster at Montcoal,  W.Va.  He is survived by his wife, Heidi, and two sons, his parents,  three siblings and a loving extended family.
