This memorial website was created in the memory of Dith Pran, one who i did not personally know but knew his story. A journalist who fought for his life through the rough times of the killing fields in Cambodia due to the Khmer Rouge revolutionaries in 1975. He lived on to tell his story until his very death in 2008. He will forever be in our hearts and souls as he lives on in a better place.

Tributes are short messages commemorating Dith, or an expression of support to his closest family and friends. Leave your first tribute here, and others will follow.

Unfortunately i do not have any memories with Dith Pran but I do wish i could have met him to discuss his experiences. Talking to a primary source about a major genocide throughout history would be great. In the movie "The Killing Fields" Dith Pran was played by Haing S. Ngor. A memory portrayed by him would be when he was working for the Khmer Rouge and when he was eating rice and water in the rain. He spotted a lizard and put it in his pocket to later on eat because he knew that with the food he was give, it was not enough to survive. Dith Pran proved to everyone that he was a smart, intelligent, hard working individual and him and his story will always be a apart of history.
