Each time we had our blood pressure taken by Dixie we had a little contest to see who had the lowest numbers. She usually beat me, but once in a while I won. I would take the numbers Dixie gave me and stick it on my forehead and walk around the clubhouse. We always had fun with Dixie.

Feeling like I really KNEW Dixie, through her son, Ray, I am deeply saddened by her way-too-young passing...however, from what I know of her life, she lived it to the fullest and enjoyed all her many passions and activities. My husband Paul joins me in sending love to all of you.

Dixie - you were such a lovely, down-to-earth, positive person. You encouraged us all and are a role model for community involvement. You left us a legacy of hard work, friendly participation and leadership, and endless giving. Your loving presence will stay with all who knew yo
