Dinner 6-2-16

June 3, 2016

Last night I know you were with me. I was cooking on the stove and when I put a bowl down it moved. The bowl moved several times. I was on the phone with Sammy and told her what was happening. I told Steffanie to look and you stopped. Every time she looked away you moved that bowl. She finally seen the bowl move and freaked. Then it got the best of her she had to come check it out. She pushed at the bowl and it didn't move. After a bit I moved back over to my side of the stove and the bowl moved again. I know you didn't like tacos and we're just reminding me of that. Thank you DJ for making me smile and reminding me that you'll forever be with me like promised. I love and miss you so much!!!!

Valentines

February 8, 2016

Our very first valentines was like my bedroom exploded with love. He had bought me two huge vynal heart balloons saying I love you, and hug me.  I got roses, stuffed teddy bear, chocolate,  And of course a new outfit with jewelry and my mushy card.

work

January 30, 2016

DJ definitely knew the meaning of work. There wasn't a time I can remember that he wasn't busting butt to provide what we needed. DJ had a work ethic like no other. When he broke his neck and had bones fused together he went nuts sitting at home. He convinced a doctor to release him back to work two weeks early. When he broke his leg he went to work for a week before going and having it looked at. DJ had broken all three bones in his left leg. The doctor put him out of work and said he needed a operation to fix it. DJ lasted three weeks off work, never got the operation, but again convinced another doctor to let him go back to work. He would go to work even if he was sick. Out of five years working at Southern Textile he may have taken a week off work total besides when he broke his leg. Real men work and provide for their families no matter what it takes. DJ was a Superman when it came to us. He never let us go without!

sweethearts

January 23, 2016

DJ and I were highschool sweethearts. He began as my best friend, like a older brother, but shortly our love grew into more. I knew he was going to be my soulmate. DJ and I started dating 9/11/89 and married on 7/11/92. We were inseparable! Our oldest daughter, the princess, Samantha was born on 4/13/92. Soon after we had our son, Budda, Shawn born 1/27/94. Then came along my Georgia peach and daddy's baby girl, Steffanie born 5/24/95. We had up and down times just like any other family. Years passed and along came our first grandson and Poppie's pride and joy. Bentley made his entrance 3/4/13. Our next grandson, Harley was born unexpectedly in thanksgiving, 11/28/13. Next in line came our grandson, Danny, Tré. All the years I was with DJ he busted his ass to provide and to protect this family. October 16th will be one of the worst days of my life. The man I thought was unstoppable, was called to heaven. On that day part of my heart and soul was ripped away. Forever DJ will be with me and until my last breath I will be sure no one will ever forget him. His FABAU last forever.
