Dollie Asbell

Dollie Horne Asbell died Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at Pinewood Nursing Center in Whigham, Georgia. Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 7, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends before service beginning at 1:00. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Vada, Georgia. Rev. W. G. Turner will be officiating. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Dollie was born February 12, 1919 in Grady County, Georgia to Charlie and Mittie Glover Horne. She was a homemaker and member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Cairo. She is survived by her sons and daughters in law: Wayne and Camille Asbell of Valdosta, Georgia, Danny and Annette Deason of Monticello, Florida, Gary and Daphne Asbell of Tallahassee, Florida and Greg and Susie Asbell of Lanett, Alabama; brother and sister in law: George A. and Ruby Horne of Cairo, Georgia; grandchildren: Kevin Asbell of Ridgeland, S.C., Tony Cuellar of Valdosta, Georgia, Rose Tanner of Jacksonville, Florida, Chris Deason and Mhari Gay of Crawfordville, Florida, John W. Asbell of Tallahassee, Florida, Rosalie Flummer of Havana, Florida, and Pasha Asbell of Tallahassee, Florida, April Barber, David Asbell, Bubba Arrington, Brandi Lowery and Stephanie Nelson all of Lanett, Alabama; 16 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
