Mom, even though it's been six years since you left us, you continue to be part of my life. I still appreciate the blessing of all you taught me. Thank you. I know I will see you again.

It's hard to believe it has been five years since my mom's passing. I think of her often, whenever I pass her photo, when I come across one of her handwritten recipes, at holidays when I would have called her. I am aware that I think of her during situations with my own daughters. I wonder what my mom's thoughts might have been or how she might have responded in similar situations with me. Those wonderings are often accompanied with a pang of regret that I didn't appreciate her more when she was on this earth. If she were back with us now, would I act any differently than I did back then? I cannot say, but it's interesting to contemplate.

Mom, You were a part of my life every day . Your quiet presence to your Grandchildren and your assistance to their lives . We all wait until we have Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren to pour our love into as we were far to busy when we were raising our own to give time to them. You were the greatest Friend to all of us. I know how much you loved each of them. I remember all the ice cream, lemon drops and Happy Meals you bought. Lara recalls sitting on the counter while you made apple pies. Bryan doesn't believe anyone can make a better one than you. Michelle enjoyed your visits to Kansas City & Andreas all the trips picking up her children and babysitting for her. I love you Mom

On this eve of her 88th birthday, I'm remembering my Mom. Evenings are the hardest because that's when I usually called her. I just wanted to know how her day had gone and to hear her voice. I MISS YOU, MOM!!

Mom’s Birthday 94

March 6, 2020
Mom, Our Mother loved to read, crochet & sew. She read mostly mysteries. Whenever she had a few moments before retiring @ night. Her sewing was more out of necessity with 4 children then loving it. Her crocheting was for Afghan  & something to pass time when she was waiting for one of us to be finished with the many activities we were involved. I celebrated her  birthday this year by going out to eat, something she enjoyed

Farming

July 9, 2015

My dear Mother had no idea what Farming was nor did she want to share the work load!! My Father asked her to help move hogs from one pen to the other! Now many of you know she might as well been herding chickens. My Father had a gate & she had nothing plus she was scared to death of them. The little pigs ran right past her allowing my Father the privilege of berating her. Well she announced she was leaving him to herd his own pigs & she would never assist in this task again & she didn't.

This is Mothers 3rd anniversary since she left us! We all miss her so much!! I love you Mom.

My Mom Was the definition of kindness

November 17, 2014

Mom was always kind to everyone and especially to her 4 children.  She would hug and kiss us whenever we needed support and encouragement. She was a GREAT cook and always seemed to improve.  I would ask her for recipes and when I tried to replicate them I never could because besides the little adjustments she made to them that were not written down she always added some love that only a Mom can do.
We were very lucky to have such a kind loving mother and I will always cherish the memory of her.
