Robert C. Conger, beloved father and grandfather passed away February 18th, 2016 from natural causes.

Dolores C. (Mailander) Conger, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed on May 12, 2015 due to complications from a fall.

Robert was born near Malvern, Iowa on December 5th, 1927 to Charles and Mary Conger. He attended school in Silver City, Iowa, graduating in 1945. Robert served in the Air Force from 1946-48. Dolores was born near Wiota, Iowa. She attended Wiota High School where she played girls basketball for the state championship teams. She attended nursing school in Council Bluffs, Iowa and graduated as a Registered Nurse (RN). Dolores worked 45 years as a RN, retiring as the director of nursing from the Iowa Boys State Training School in Eldora, Iowa.

Robert married Dolores Mailander on November 30th, 1952. Most of Robert’s life was spent working in the furniture manufacturing industry. He was the owner of Sunline Industries in Eldora from 1974 until his retirement in 1995.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Dolores, his parents, brother Joseph and sisters Mary, Nancy and Elinor. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents Francis and Eunice Mailander, and her sister and brother-in-law Nadine and Marvin Brownlee.

Robert and Dolores are survived by their three children Michael (Linda) Conger of Sandy, Utah, Linda (William) Wallish of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Joseph (Kelli) Conger of Polk City, Iowa; Grandchildren: Stephen and Ryan Conger, Emily (Conger) Ledbetter, Matthew, Amy and Brian Wallish, Taylor and Chad Conger.
