Mother and Dad were blessings to our family, friends and many whom we do not know. Their efforts throughout life continue to be a blessing to our family.
Dolores Posey Rodgers was born on March 8, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois. She was the oldest of two children of Anthony J. Posey and Eva L. Posey. Her spirit departed this life on Saturday February 23, 2013 in Pasadena, California.

I will truely miss my grandmother. I think about her throughout the day but I know that at the end of the day, she is in a peaceful place and has no more pain. She is happily in heaven with all of my family and friends. I love you and miss you grandmother Rodgers! <3

I will miss Mrs. Rogers. I remember taking my mom,Gloria Nicholson and my grand-mother, Joearsene Smith to visit her. She was so lovely. I know she is in Heaven with her other loved ones and friends. I know my mom and her are sharing stories in the beautiful Heavenly place. Much love to all the Rogers family. Much love to you brother Dale.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father who breathe the breath of life into the beautiful body of Dolores Rodgers, adorned her with grace and gave her life more abundantly. And may this same God, the Father of compassion and the God who comforts us when we say goodbye to someone we love so dearly offer the comfort that you will need during your time of sorrow.

I have fond memories of Mrs. Rodgers , my Mom (Gloria), Mrs. Posey and my grandma Joearsense together. I can see them now together again having tea in heaven talking about their children and grandchildren and dear ones. We will see them again. May The Lord our God hold your hearts dear until that time. My deepest condolences to your family. Her smile and grace will be remembered.

I will miss Mrs Rodgers,as Dale and I had many fun time growing up together and all I can remember how so very nice and sweet she was to us as two kids always into something as she always had a nice word for us and will always have the BEST memories of her and Mr Rodgers,I know when she walks through the Golden Gates of Heaven to meet Mr Rodgers the first thing he will say to her is.......

In the Summer of 2009 I was fortunate to back in the States with my family from England and had the pleasure of dinner which brought some of the Rodgers, Simms and Pulitzer families together. This was the last time I was able to personally see and hug grandmother and have her finally meet the family (more great grandchildren!)
Grandmother you will be missed, but, the impact you have had on my life and those you have touched will continue forever!!!

We took Mother to Margarita's Restaurant and they put this hat on her and sang Happy Birthday to her.
