Dominic Orlando Alfano

Age:87- Gloucester Township

Passed away on November 9, 2015, Dominic was born May 8,1928 in Wilkes Barre, PA to Joseph and Angelina Alfano. 
He attended Wilkes College, where he met and married Nancy Alfano (Fox).  They soon moved to New York City and lived there and in the surrounding area for fifteen years. 
While a resident there, he owned PAR Knit, a knitted goods manufacturer that supplied small and large department stores in the New York area.  After his knitting mill closed Dominic moved to Southern New Jersey, Gloucester Township and Pine Hill, and resided there for twenty five years. 
During that time he owned and operated Sox’s Appeal, a sock manufacturer and retail store in Runnemede NJ, Sure-Clean Carpet Pros, working with area apartment complexes, and First Take Video Store in Lindenwold, NJ. 
After the passing of Nancy, Dominic moved to Bordentown, NJ and married Mary Anne Alfano (Marsala).  Here is where he enjoyed retirement life, taking numerous trips and singing in the Homestead Barbershop Coral Group. 
Dominic is survived by his six children Joseph Alfano, Mary Ann Sandlin (Alfano) and her spouse Dennis Sandlin, Kathleen Marsala and her spouse Peg Kuhn, Agnus Marsala, Alfred Marsala and spouse Linda Marsala, and James Marsala, ten grandchildren Dana, Ryan, Mary, Alicia, Christina, Emily, Christian, Maya, Sarah, Jimmy and two great-grandchildren Jeff and Noah. 
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service on November 21st at 4:00 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 280 Crosswicks Rd, Bordentown, NJ 08505.  Reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations made out to Samaritan Hospice.
