A journo remembers
I cannot quite remember when I first met Don and Erica. I think it was around about the time they took ownership of their last campervan - a Trakka built conversion. I do know it was at a rally somewhere though. Don and Erica always took interest in my RV journalism work - Caravan World, Motorhome World (as it was for a few years) and more latterly, an epublication, iMotorhome. Don and Erica frequently seemed to have a busy time at rallies but I enjoyed our brief chats together and Don's encouragement. He often reminded me of the role that Caravan World played in the CMCA's beginning - well before my time I should point out. Undoubtedly Don has left a fine legacy in the form of the club - from little acorns you might say, to what the CMCA is today. I briefly met the Whitworth family at the Deniliquin 25th Anniversary Rally and to you and Erica in particular, my deepest sympathy in your loss - husband, father, grandfather and club founder.
