Dona A. Parker,  “Bo”, (nee Bobo), 78, of Mullica Hill, NJ, formerly of Gloucester City, NJ passed away on February 21, 2021.

Beloved wife of Henry G. Parker for 45 years, devoted mother of Walter McGuinness, Jr. (Jeanette), Glenn Parker and the late Colleen Sorbello (Samuel). Loving grandmother of Jeff Sorbello (Melissa), Brayden McGuinness, Landon McGuinness and Great Grandmother of Samuel Sorbello. Dear sister of James Bobo (Elizabeth) and the late John, Robert, Frances, Virginia, Marie and Regina. Dona was also predeceased by her parents, Robert and Gertrude Bobo.

Dona graduated from Gloucester City High School in 1961. Her first job was in the insurance industry at Penn Mutual in Philadelphia. Later in life, she worked for the Harrison Township Elementary School District as a bus driver for 16 years. She loved the beach and swimming, dining out, dancing, shopping, long talks, storytelling, her grand-dogs, the students she adored, and entertaining family and friends during the Christmas season. The most important part of life for Dona was her love for family. Her husband, children, grandchildren, and most recently, her great grandboy Samuel, were everything to her.  She was a giver of love and compassion – ‘if she only had two pennies, she’d find ya a nickel.’

Saying Goodbye is so hard to do.

February 23, 2021
To my precious brother, Henry and wonderful nephews, Walter and Glenn, Uncle Terry and I send you our love and prayers to help you through this very difficult time of saying goodbye to your wife and mother and our dear sister, Dona.  Her loving spirit will continue on in all who knew and loved her especially all of you.  Every time we walk on a beach or swim in a pool or watch a sunset,we will be thinking of Dona and remembering how much she loved being near the water.  Knowing that she now rests in the arms of Jesus and has Colleen there to kiss away her tears from missing all of you, it reaffirms our faith that one day we will all be together again at one of her Christmas parties.  I can just see her smiling when she gets to host one in Heaven!!  Oh and the joy of seeing all of our families together once again and who were surely greeting Dona as she arrived at those Pearly Gates must have filled her heart with overflowing joy.  God be with you all.  Lovingly, Uncle Terry And Aunt Nellie
