His Life

July 8, 2012

Well he was a simple man.  Never asked for much, always helped out anyone he could.  A loner most of the time, he never bothered anyone if he did not have too.  He loved his father, mother, step father, and all his family.  He told me a few weeks ago on the phone that if he died he could die saying he thought he had the best family there was.  We are not a perfect family but he thought we were.  He worked most of his life until the illness set in and he could no longer work.  He lost several fingers once on a job and he did not let it bother him he went right on through life like it was as he put it "nothing but a thing."  I had the pleasure throughout my life of him living with me and my husband and he would always help out where ever help was needed.  I remember the day his son Matthew was born, he was I think the most proudest father on the earth.  He love that boy.  Then Matthew grew up as all kids do and go their own way, but he seem to always stay in touch some how.  My brother was an example of take life easy and enjoy it while you are here.  He came to Gainesville and spent a week at the Hospice House when our Mom was ill and helped out.  He was just like my father in alot of ways.  There were times when he lived with me that he would say "Sis dad always said son if you do it this way, or make sure you have this, etc.  He took everything my father and mother said to heart and carried it with him throughout his life.  The world is not going to be the same without him here.  He had alot of friends some even childhood friends that can't believe he is gone.  He was just a likeable person.  OMG his favorite show was Andy Griffith and you could tell when he was watching it no matter where you were in the house cause he would constantly be cracking up laughing.  So we always knew what he was watching.  My heart aches as I write about him.  I remember my sisters telling me when they were growing up that they all had to take turns washing dishes and when it was Sue and Busters night he had to go to the bathroom and seem to stay in there until the dishes were done.  I mean I know there are alot of stories my older siblings have about him but I am just writing the things that at this moment I remember.  But I will close for now, and will sure I will be putting more on here about him.  May you rest in peace.  I still can't believe you are gone.  I love you Buster, My brother and friend.
