I think of you often. So many memories to reflect on. I miss talking to you. I miss your friendship & solid advice. I just miss you. You were a Dad to me & I miss you Pappy. I wish so much that I could talk with you again. I'd have alot to share with you. I miss you.

Though you are no longer here with us,we still honor & acknowledge your birthday. The world was so graciously blessed with the gift of your birth & presence on earth. All of us who knew you, loved you.
We celebrate your birthday with the joy you unselfishly brought to all of our lives. We share our memories, together, but some we keep silent because these,we hold deep within our hearts, for they have become our treasured memories.
Our memories of you will never fade. Whether we are family, friends or a mere aquaintance,we have all shared the impact of your love.
You are continually in our thoughts & we are changed people, just to have known you. Happy Birthday,Pappy! We all love you.
Send Mom a message. She could use your arm around her for some reassurance right now.

It's been over a year since God called you home and there is still an empty space in our lives, where you once stood. We are continuing on with our lives,as you would expect us to,but there are so many times when that is very difficult. We know you send signs to us to let us know that you are still here in spirit. From the phone calls, flickering and flashing lights,to the visions we have of you in our dreams. If there were anything I could ask of you and God would allow,it would be, please ask God to help you, help Mom. She's lost without you. Though she is doing better, the acceptance of your absence is still a day-to-day struggle for her.I know you can ease her suffering, through God's blessing upon her. Don't ever stop showing the love you have for us. Some days it's what carries us through the heartache and becomes part of the memories we share of you. Forever in our hearts,Pappy. We love you.

Don was a very kind and giving man. He was quick-witted and had a great sense of humor. He shared so much of his life with everyone and touched the lives of all who knew him.

Don was a wonderful husband and father. He was married to a beautiful woman for 531/2 years and had 3 children. Family was of the upmost importance to him. Dons' pride and joy was his grandchildren; of which he has 13 and 23 great-grandchildren.

His hobbies were fishing and hunting. Don was a carpenter, by trade, but later in life, he worked in metal fabrication.

Don was a cancer survivor for many years and it was his strong will that attributed to his overcoming the disease.

In February 2015, Don was hospitalized, due to illness. Shortly thereafter, he succumbed to pneumonia complications.

Our family has suffered a great loss, but we take comfort in knowing that Don is now at peace and is no longer suffering.

We will never forget the man who was such a beautiful example of God's love. Don never knew a stranger and welcomed everyone into his life with open arms. We love and miss him, dearly, but know we will reunite with him one day in heaven. God bless and keep his family and may He make the sun shine upon their faces, all the days of their lives.
