Donald P. Woodlief, 79, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Wednesday, August 28th, 2013 at his home.
He was the son of the late Elijah E. and Bessie D. Woodlief. He was a member of Peace’s Chapel Baptist Church and was the owner of Woodlief’s Insurance Agency.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 31st, 2013 at Peace’s Chapel Baptist Church in Kittrell by The Rev. Bruce Z. Brooks. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
Surviving are two sons, Steven L. Woodlief (Faye), and Gilbert E. Woodlief (Debbie), two daughters Donna W. Claiborne (Randy) and Patsy W. Smith (Don), a sister Betty W. Puckett (Harold), seven grandchildren; Tony Woodlief, (Kelly), Brad Woodlief, Phillip Claiborne, Randa Claiborne, Sophia T. Wood, (Ben), Sydney Towers, Grayson Smith; four great-grandchildren; Kadence Woodlief, Hailey Woodlief, Zach Woodlief and Michael Cox.
He was preceded in death by sisters Nellie Gray Woodlief, Doris W. Sadler (Marvin) and brothers Alvin E. Woodlief (Mozelle), Alan D. Woodief (Dixie), and Jamie L. “Jimmy” Woodlief (Nancy).

Visitation will be held from 7:00 – 8:30 P.M., Friday, August 30th, 2013 at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford.
