Donald Day Sr.
Don Day was Born February 1, 1932, in Ravenna, Ohio. he was the 1st born Son to Mildred and Glenn Day. Don was fun loving,happy child in a devoted family with lots of Aunts and Uncles and Grandparents. He was busy playing a "Big Boy".In High School he loved sports, making the Varsity team in his Freshman Year.As the Center, he helped the team remain defeated for 4 years. Shortly after high school Don met and married Ruth Sandridge and They had a Son Rob and a Daughter Deby, when they decided to move to New Jersey. Thier Son Mike was born there, in 1957 they joined Don's parents and sister in California. Don worked at Kaiser Steel till the Mill closed in the 80's Thier Third Son, Kevin was born in California. in 1990 Don and Ruth moved to Oregon settling in Mc Minvelle. They immeditaley joined the local Valley Babtist Church and Don went to worj at Hillside Manor as a Maintaince Supervisor. Some of thier happiest moments were heling build a new church at Valley. Shortly after thier 50th Wedding Anniversay, Ruth was called home. Don and his Sister rebuilt thier reakationship, and when Pat retired in 2004 Don asked her to move to Oregon. When the Tea Partymovement began to grow in Oregon, Don and Pat joined. Don's intrest in Politics grew. Dons love for his country deepened. He was a True American Hero. Don was called home to the Lord Monday January 14th, 2013
