I am so sad to hear of the loss of Mr. Samardich. He had a huge impact on my life. He taught me my backhand, which is still my only good tennis stroke. He had a great sense of humor and could always make me laugh. He used to tell me that my tennis game might not be that great, but it didn't matter because I had the best outfits! He used to drive Suzy and me to out of town basketball games and say things to us in French. It always sounded so exotic until he translated: "Your breath smells like a dead fish". I am sending all the Samardich's my love and prayers. I will miss your dad so much!

Missing Uncle Don already. He did so much for all of the kids in our family . . . how can you even recount the wonderful advice, laughter and love? We will always remember him by the forehead kisses he gave whenever we saw him.

In the fall of 2013 my dad passed away. About a week before, Don called and asked if he could see dad. They had developed a special respect, and I was happy to have him visit. Dad was lucid and always loved to share as Don did. Don's visit meant so much to Don, dad and me.

We would love to see your photos and hear your stories related to my dad. He is still with us, his breathing is getting more labored. Hopefully he will be in a better place and pain free soon. ❤️
