I had the pleasure of meeting Don, Josè and Rhiannon on my first ever trip to the USA about 20 years a go.
He and the time I spent in Tennessee will always be in my memories.
Thanks Don. R.I.P.

Three generations of King family members have been important in our family's lives. I was a classmate of Don's brother David at U of Wyo in 1963-64 in graduate school and David was instrumental in helping me find my first professional employment. I reported to Don's father at National Analysts in Philadelphia in 64-66, my first employer. I was then recruited to Westat by Don and spent about 6 years working for and/or with Don as colleague at Westat. Don's strong work ethic was always amazing to me. Don, Tommie and the girls were neighbors and good friends in Fallsmead for years, continuing even after Don and Tommie divorced. We all were saddened by Tommie's early passing.Though we lost close touch in recent years, we managed to keep up with Don's long and successful career and his many achievements and awards. We are saddened by Don's passing and send our prayers and best wishes to the "King girls", now beautiful ladies. We loved seeing the recent pic.

A man for all seasons, had the ability to find common ground with just about anyone. So glad he made his way back to the upper plains.

Dear Jose, I am so sorry to hear of Don's passing. What a great and accomplished man. I so much enjoyed are many conversations on flying and his carrier landings. I wish him in his passing clear skies and a healthy tail wind.

with our prayers, mckay family

What a fine man Don was. The kind who anybody, and everybody, could admire. These things define the successful 20th/21st century person: service to country, professional success, service to community, and engagement with the creative side of life. Don excelled at all of these. He was admired by, and will be missed by, thousands.
