Donald Scott, 68, of Mesa, AZ went to be with the Lord January 25th of natural causes while with his wife in their camper. Born April 12, 1952 in Waukasha County, Wisconsin, he was the son of the late, Dorothy Harris Scott.
Enjoyable moments of his career was building agricultural irrigation systems for Pawnee Supply in Cody, WY; 19 yrs. as a technician for Culligan in Round Lake, IL and driving tractor-trailer passing through 48 of the continental US states. Don loved the Green Bay Packers, John Wayne, watching westerns and reading Louis L'Amore books. He had a passion for cooking and blessed many people with his creations. He loved to travel and spent 21 years journeying to as many places as possible with his wife and best friend Gwen. Together, they retired in 2018 loaded up their camper and experienced the Northwestern US for a dream vacation, resulting in 20 months of traveling together, being camp hosts and touring many or our country's National Parks and Monuments as well as many remote and well known places. They settled in Mesa, AZ , unable to resume their travels due to health reasons. Don and his companion dog Peaches were inseparable.
Don will be greatly missed by his wife, Gwen Beatty of Mesa, AZ, his four sons, Damon Scott (Jill) of Lake Saint Louis, MO, Jared Scott (Petri) of Fort Worth, TX, Justin Scott and Derek Scott of Naples, FL, his two stepchildren, Jason Beatty (Allison) of Mesa, AZ, Rebekah Salles of Arcadia, FL. His grandchildren, Julia, Isabella, Odin, Orion, Jet, Sydney, Lyla and Robson, Jr. His sister Brett Hodson of Billings, MT. and several neices and nephews and all those whose lives he touched just for being him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Scott. He will be remembered for his love for others, his passion that he carried into every aspect of his life and for always having an interesting fact or trivia to share.
A Celebration of Don's Life will be held on April 12, 2021 (his birthday) at 10:00 am at Christ's Church in the Valley, East Campus, Mesa. AZ.
