I had it in mind to write here on your birthday but missed the day and so I have to write today of memories of my mother. Mom always wore her hair up when she was going to meet people, and always fixing here hair in the curls and piled on top of her head. She wrapped it at nite so she wouldn't have to fix it every day. I remember the hair spray she sprayed on it to make it stay. It always took her some time to do it. She did this and did all the things she needed to do to keep the house the way it should be. Always baking something or cooking something, and busy with church activities, as well. That included making peanut brittle for fund raisers. We had a stove in the basement of our Sparta house where the ladies got together and made peanut brittle. Miss you and love you, Mom.

Well, big sister, it is February 24th and I am just getting to write a note. I saw your birthdate come by but could not write that day. We love you, miss you and think of you often. In fact today, I was looking at your Daily Bible reading guide with dates, comments and verses to read for the day. You were sure a blessing in my life . . . you were the one that got me started with the LORD. Thank you so much! Life is going forward . . . We are busy most days with the work of the LORD. On Sunday, we gather on ZOOM with folks from around the country. On Monday, we do a service on ZOOM with folks from around but especially with folks from a church in Las Vegas. They lost their Shepherd over two years ago. On Tuesday we have a men's gathering with some brothers from the Las Vegas group. Wednesday is also busy with a Bible study. Right now we are doing the Book of Proverbs. We had spent two years going through the Revelation. Saturday morning, we do a WhatsApp study with brothers from Africa . . . So, we are keeping busy. Love you sister, you were so special . . . thanks for being you. We will talk more . . . soon.

Well, big sister, you would have been 87 yesterday . . . I just recently turned 82 . . . we are enjoying life with the LORD and His people. We are still in the battle for the LORD and we do miss your extra special work in all aspects of life. Your family is growing on in life and still standing strong for the LORD. We are working everyday to grow in love, grace and faith as we dig deeper for more in the LORD and His ways. Rest in peace, the plan of the LORD is moving on and it will not be long now as we are coming to a new day. We are right on the horizon when the LORD will gather His jewels. I miss your smile and your bright mind. You certainly were a special sister for sure and one that could never be replaced. We miss you Donna!

Just remembering Mom today while studying. Thinking about the rest she has at this time. Not a worry in her brow anymore. At the trump, the dead in Christ will rise first, and then we which remain will be caught up to meet Him in the air. What a glorious day that will be when my Jesus I shall see. When I look upon His face, the One who saved me by His grace! What a gathering of the faithful that will be!

My, my . . . ten years has sure flown by! I am now 80 and looking at 81 in a few weeks. You would have been 86, Donna. I see you ever day in a picture with me by a pair of your baby shoes. We are keeping on keeping on and walking with the LORD. It has to be at least 15 years since you visited us in Nampa. We miss you and look forward to seeing you again. Rest, your day is coming. Rev. 20:5 & John 5:28 - 29 Sis, I had an interesting thought recently when I was thinking about Sherri. Peter said, "a day with the LORD is as one thousand years and one thousand years as a day." It came to my mind that I would see Sherri again in just "a day," by the LORD'S perspective.  You too, will see you soon when that resurrection that Martha talked about in John 11:24 takes place. We love you sis, think of you daily and miss your presence. I had a really nice dream about you a few months ago. It was wonderful to see you, beautiful as ever and so nice to hear your voice again.

Just thinking about Mom today. This flower is a reminder of her smile when she was in the kitchen baking and fixing things for us to eat...seems she loved to do that for us just because she loved us. Always baking something delicious and delectable...You are missed, Mom. I love you.

Life is moving on under the sun. We are still here and still missing you, sis, but we know that seeing you again is a sure and certain thing according to the scriptures. The Lord's mercy is new every morning and I thank you for planting a love for Him in my life. You were a light not hid under a bushel! The Sun of Righteousness shall arise . . . . .

Sure been thinking of my sister today after I got the notice from Forever Missed about this day, Feb. 21st. Hard to think that Donna would have been 79 today. In December it will be four years since she laid down her battle gear and found peace. What a lady! She set a very high standard for me to reach for. I am so thankful for the light that she let shine on my pathway in life. It was danting to follow a star but I am thankful for the light. Donna led me to the altar on that first trip that really counted. Thank you sis for getting me started on this path. We will meet again!

Just thinking of Mom the last couple days...had a reminder of her birthday on my phone calendar and it went off yesterday. Life is very short and it is great to know that she lived a good life for the Lord and never really forgot her deep seated holiness spirit and peace. Although she did not recognize me in the end, she will be forever missed in my life. It is best that I live a life filled with the things of the Lord in remembrance of her steadfastness.

Thank you, Forever Missed, for the reminder. Time sure hurries on in our lives and now it is three years since Donna left us. She was my only sister and a great one at that. What an example she left for me and us to follow. If you looked in the dictionary under "Faithfull" you would find a picture of my sister. What a brilliant lady! She knew her mind and always stood by her principles. A very bright example for sure. We will always love the thought of such a wonderful person. No wonder the Lord tells us that he finds pleasure in the death of his "saints". One more victory won! We love you and miss you, sis, and until we meet again . . . . . . Love from your little brother.

We were best of friends growing up. That remained that was even after we were married. Donna was always faithful to Jesus. She was there when I received the Holy Ghost. I was her maid of honor. I baked Kendal first birthday cake. His folks were holding revival meetings for us in Salmon, ID. Great Lady1

Just received the notice and reminder that tomorrow would have been Donna's 78th birthday. My, that seems so long ago now. A wonderful sister, a devoted child of the Lord and a faithful servant in the Kingdom. Memories of you, sis, are gems that I shall always hold dear. I still have the book that you gave me many years ago by my bed side titled, "Mountain Trailways For Youth." I think of you each time I see it. Love is a wonderful thing. It never fades for our God is LOVE. XO Your little brother, Ken Austin

Thinking of Donna today. Our life together was so long ago that it is really hard to remember, but I do remember. Donna was five years older but I do recall many great times in our early years. Donna was a very faithful and true child of the Lord. She was so steady in her Bible reading. You were a great example, sis, thank you for all your influence. Thanks for the typing skills! XOXO

We almost always had a cake for our birthdays and it was always the best. She was a strict "English" user and did not like some of the songs that mentioned something in bad english and you had better speak the King's English in the right way or she had something to say about it. A true Christian woman and great mother.

Mom always had refrigerator cookies in the fridge, so we could just slice off what we wanted if we were looking for a snack. There was usually always cinnamon sugar crust pieces from pies left on a plate for snacking, also. She hardly ever threw any food away. She always made something different with the leftovers. She was a great Mom and gave us the love that only a mother can give.More..

I remember when Mom baked cookies and cakes of many kinds over the years when us boys were still home. That was a special time, because she always let me taste a bit of the cookie dough or whatever dough she was preparing. The cookie dough was always the best and I will always remember the special times we had together.

Donna was the one who got me to really think about the Lord and my need of him in my life. I remember the night well as she got me to go to the altar and pray with her. That began my real life with the Lord. Thank you, sis, for seeing my need and pointing me to the One that could fill it. She set an example for me as I watched her do her faithful reading in the Word to fill the year XO

Donna was my big sister. She was a shinning example for me all of her years. I followed her through school and had many of the same teacher who sure remembered Donna. She was very smart, got very good grades and left a high standard of excellance that I never did reach. And of course the teacher reminded me about Donna's class. What a lovely picture, beautiful smile as her heart shows.

"These things have I written unto you, that you may know that you have eternal life, even unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God." 1 John 5:13

"Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and song; and he is become my salvation. Therefore with joy shall you draw water out of the wells of salvation."  Isa. 12:2 - 3

"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Rom. 8:38 - 39

Thinking of you today, Donna, as this was the day you were born so many years ago. You are forever in our hearts. We live this life in great expectation knowing that we will be together again, walking together in the joy of eternal life. The Lord is such a wonder and to know that we know him and he is our father and we enjoy the life that he has given us. Job said, "my flesh shall rest in hope . . . . . " We are at peace knowing that the Lord holds us in the hollow of his hand.  I love you sis, and am so thankful for all that you gave me. Missing you as always but resting in hope . . . . .

Thinking of the refrigerator oatmeal cookies and the times I just enjoyed getting into the refrigerator and slicing off some of that awesome cookie dough. Many times a week because they were always there...and the breakfast pancakes on the counter for sugar sandwiches...still eat them everyonce in a while now. Have to be the buttermilk pancake batter or it doesn't taste the same. Never a missed snack or goodie on Mom's kitchen counter. The banana cake with the icing only Mom could make. The list goes on...guess you know where my tongues 'pants' for most times...at the desert table when the food is spread out at family gatherings. None compare to Mom's, of course. Just about when you were needing some pie, she had some baking just for you. Perhaps she will be spending time in her kitchen in the new Jerusalem one day and we will once again taste her delectable sweet array of cakes and pies, etc. Are you aching for a taste?
