Her Life

Gems From The Word

September 17, 2013

Donna wrote a daily devotional.  It is available through most online book sellers or at book stores by request for the title and Donna's name.  It is also available on Trafford.com.
Donna was a faithful wife and outdid me in many ways. She tried to see how many ways she could help in the ministry and daily life.  She was a disciplinarian  and very thorough in all her accomplishments.  Donna loved the Lord and me  with all her heart and mind.  She made many of her clothes as she loved to sew. There were many wonderful baked items and cooked dishes she enjoyed doing.  We had many years together and they were a joy to me.  She played and taught piano, accordian and organ.  We sung together.  Donna never shirked her duty as a wife and was willing to go the extra mile.  She never complained through many hard times while starting churches.  We never asked for help in starting churches.  We just got jobs and supported it until it was able to sustain itself.  Then when it got to supporting status we got a new pastor and went and did it again someplace else.
The secret of a long marriage is to think of your spouse as an extension of yourself and keep prayed up.  One must not use your wife, but work together as a team.  This was the joy of my heart to see her succeed and flourish in all ways.  How I miss her today.  I loved her so much.
