Don Williams of Chapmanville, WV passed away on Monday, March 25th at 79 years.
Don was born on November 3, 1933 in Bluefield WV and was the son of the late Vance Williams and Ethel Lambert Williams. He graduated from Washington Irving High School in Clarksburg WV and worked for 20 years as a typesetter at the Logan Banner, and for the last 40 years managed Town and Country Food Market in Chapmanville.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years Lucy Williams, daughter Sherri Mounts of Nashville TN sons Randy Williams of Winchester KY, Donnie Williams of Raleigh, NC, step-sons Jerry Sansone of Chapmanville, and Johnnie Sansone of Charleson WV, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, nephews Mike Lowe and Rick Lowe, and many other family and friends who loved him very much. Don was a resident of Chapmanville WV for almost 50 years, at the time of his death he resided there with his wife and their grandson John Sansone.
Sisters Juanita Lowe and Dottie Williams preceded him in death.
He was a lover of life, he cherished his family, thoroughly enjoyed his work, and was always willing to help those in need, especially children.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 30th at 3pm at Shining Light Baptist Church in Chapmanville. Visitation, 2:00pm to 2:45pm on the same day.
