Posthumous birthday...On this day 63 years ago, my Mummy was born. She blossomed into a beautiful, vibrant , Godly, Smart Energetic and of course a pacesetter, living a life of impact and purpose. She preached love in action. Every soul she met while on earth, could testify of her inner and outer beauty which brought joy and healing which words cannot describe. Mummy left no box unticked, she lived her life to the fullest. She lived everyday like it was her last. Ever joyful and Happy. There was no day for lackadaisical attitude. She burned with the fire of the Holy Spirit. Today, the Angels rejoices for a life which was accountable. A life of greatness, glory and splendour. Heaven has always been the prize and at the 63rd year, the prize was won. Alleluia. Rest on my special mummy........ Happy Posthumous birthday.

O how precious in the eyes of the Lord is the death of his faithful!

A devout christian and true disciple of Jesus you were. Peacemaker to the core. No double standards. Indeed you lived a life worthy of emulation.

I still remember how after every mass I took the reading she would call me and make me chant the psalm over and over again. She eventually succeeded in compelling me to rejoin the choir.

I also recall how on every All Saints Day she would with all zeal and strength raise that song _O when the saints go marching in...O Lord I want to be in that number..._

It was almost as if she had waited all year to sing that song. And now you are in that number. Isn't that beautiful? ☺️

For you, heaven is the prize! May God grant you eternal rest in His kingdom ️

I always wonder why so many mean people get to keep living.
Why did God take you if He is just in His giving?
You were  kind, a lover of christ, a prayer warrior and a great mother to your children and grand children.
I would like to think that maybe He chose you
Because you were better than the rest.
I know you are in a better place, Keep Resting in the bosom of the Lord.

Where do I start? From nowhere, unexpectedly or do I say unimaginable, the news of your demise. I was fixed in thoughts asking the All Knowing, all Magnificent a thousand and one questions.
From the how? to the why? yet all around me I could hear was SILENCE.

It was like someone had thrown in April fools prank but no, days rolled and boom reality struck. You have gone ahead to meet your Maker.
Who can fathom the greatness of our God, who can understand his ways.

Aunty Dora from the time you joined St Michael's choir DSC, your selfless and beautiful soul made me love your family even more. From afar I admired this woman filled with laughter and a woman of peace. You always hailed me saying "No be God? and we would respond together, Na God". I will never forget you saying "leave every thing for God" . You have always stood by Nkeonye and I with open hands, without reservations. Thank you for all the virtues you taught me.

May the good Lord whom you have served all these years pardon you for any wrong and open for you the door of heaven.

GOOD NIGHT DORA
The events of that fateful Sunday, 28th February 2021 no doubt left a lot of us in a state of shock. As we observed you lying down so calm and peaceful little did we realise that you will not wake up again.
Your life was one of service. You were a loving and caring mother; a devoted, dutiful and supportive wife; compassionate, loyal and nice to all you came in contact with. Infact, you were always available for service in the work of God.
We pray God in His infinite goodness and mercy to be compassionate in His judgement and welcome you to Paradise until we meet on Resurrection Day.
We are sure that your reward will be great in Heaven where the award is everlasting.

You loved your grandchildren; they loved you in return.
You were full of life; life was yours.
You lived; you lived indeed.
Till we meet again; sleep in the Lord.

A TRIBUTE TO A DELIGHTFUL WOMAN AND A MOTHER TO ALL
                              -BY AMICHAEL N. AGBOIFOH Family.
Aunty Dora, your untimely exit once again confirms that life is truly a sweet lie and death remains a bitter truth. And the bitter taste of losing you will linger in our tongue for a very long time. What is there to atone your death? What can we hope for that can fill the void created by your exit?
Aunty Mrs D. Agboifoh A.K.A Mgba Agbontine, words are not just there to capture how much you were loved and appreciated and how much we are going to miss you. You were a mother and available to all. Everybody was your own, no discrimination in your functional expressions of motherhood. You were such an amiable person, who was always smiling. This meant that you were always happy with everyone because you understood all were created in the image and likeness of God.
Your kindness is legendary. Is that all about you? Nay! Your integrity, generosity and the readiness and resourcefulness to help and meet the needs of others not only made you great but also endeared you to so many people. The support you gave my wife and I when some deserted us was wonderfully impressive, it was awesome and not expected.
You were a rallying point for the Agboifoh family in Warri. Infact, there are not enough colours to paint the picture of your delightfulness and kindheartedness.
It is actually difficult to eulogize people like you who truly deserve to be eulogized. You were an asset on many facet of life, whom the cold hands of death snatched away from us. In celebrating your life on earth, we are gladdened by the fact your life was a fulfilled one and you departed this life in answer to the call of your Creator.
Adieu Aunty D Mgba Agbontine

Condolence Message by The Catholic Women Organization of Nigeria, St. Michael’s Parish-DSC

Late Mrs Dora Efoburuokwu Agboifoh (Nee Agoh) was the zonal leader of zone one. She was a dedicated and hardworking leader. She was always there for us each time we have Catholic Women Organization Activities. She was known for her beautiful smiles. She had no dull moment at all, our chorister and our intercessor. She will be greatly missed by all.

Our dear sister, Late Mrs Dora Efoburuokwu Agboifoh (Nee Agoh), the entire Catholic Women Organization in St. Michael’s Catholic Church, DSC are still in the dream world as regards your demise, knowing that you were invited to come and take an award on that faithful day but instead you choose the award of 2 Timothy 4: 7-8 saying I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

If writing this tribute can turn the table, we would have written as many pages so as to have you back. We all prayed to God Almighty for a second chance, but your creator wanted you more, we couldn't have loved you more than the owner of your soul.

Sleep on beautiful smiling soul till we all shall meet at the feet of Christ.

We send our condolences to the husband (Bro. Agboifoh), children and immediate family she has left behind.

May the good Lord comfort and console you all through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Eternal rest grant unto her o Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her.

May her gentle soul rest in peace. Amen

Adieu beloved sister. The entire Catholic Women Organization of St. Michael’s Parish will miss you for your hard work and dedication towards God's work.

Tribute To Aunty Dora

28th February 2021, a day I wish it will never be again with repeated story of unforgettable and heavy tears ! Could it be that 28th of February in an arch of one year has only gift of stealing our lilies away to eternity? It is a very painful experience! On that faithful day marked exactly one year of a heart break we all had as a family aunty Dora! Only to realize later that same day, we have been stabbed again in the heart, broken as you depart from this world. It is very hard to believe our story. Your journey to eternity aunty was very fast and swift. Please, let someone explain to me what is happening to us! God, can this be true? These happenings? Are we going to wake up from sleep and see that, it is not real? I find it so hard and difficult to say rest in peace aunty. What do I do? Help Jesus! Help Jesus!! Help Jesus!!!
Aunty Dora, you left legacy of a good wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunty, in-law and friend. Infact, you were not an in-law but a mother and sister! May God continue to rest your soul in His kingdom!

"Mirabilis Deus"(Wonderful God)is our special and favourite number each time we met.
Before she passed on to glory, she called me and asked i should send the translation to this song. It pains me that I could not send it to her. I will miss her for this and for many many other things.

I pray God to mend our broken hearts and heal our shattered and bruised emotions. Especially those of your husband, lovely children, grand children, relations and friends.
May God accept your soul and give you the mansion prepared for you. May you continue to sing and dance with the Angels to the glory of Our Wonderful God in heaven. AMEN.

Mummy! I dont know what to say or write, dont know how I feel. It was a beautiful sunday, I was expecting your end of month prayer as usual but what I got was this heartbreaking news of your passing away. I thought it was a joke and someone was gonna tell me that, but it's been a whole month and I'm still yet to hear from you.
The month of march has been one of the hardest month in my entire life, I kept on waiting for you to call or send an SMS, it was my birthday on the 27th and you didn't call to say a prayer for me or call to say " ogechukwu I have booked mass for you" oh mummy you were the best mother anyone could ever ask for, you were the kindest person I ever knew. Mrs Agboifoh as I fondly called you, my children's grandma, my rock, my angel, mother Mary's daughter my mummy, you were so full of life, you forgave easily and you cared for everyone deeply, you brought us up with so much love and you made sure we were close as siblings, you were a mother to all. I cant believe I'm writing a tribute for you, its feels like a bad dream
I will forever love you and I know you are in a better place, keep singing in heaven with the host of Angels.
Adieu my Mummy till we meet to part no more.

Fare thee well my forever smiling Aunty Dora!!!
O death where is thy sting!! My heart aches as I write. Not again! I said to myself. O!!! Not another Tribute!!!. Aunty Dora, we all called you!! You were not just married to my uncle, but to everyone in the entire Agboifoh family. Aunty, you were Beautiful in and Out!!  You were Kind at heart and in words. Always smiling, laughing, and cheerful! Always thankful and appreciative. There was never a SAD moment with you Aunty.  You were a great woman of God, A devotee of Jesus and Mary!! A true believer!! A Proverbs 31 woman to your husband and children. Every word that came out of your mouth was a word of prayer or a song. I can go on and on!
I still can’t believe you are gone, Aunty! On the 28th 2021 of February, I woke up remembering what we had gone through in February 2020. And then!  I got the news that you had passed. I started asking the same questions all over again. Questions without any answer. Aunty, I try to take comfort in the word you always said “God is in control”
Mummy Warri told me that your death is like losing another daughter. She has broken again. But we know you have joined the heavenly choir. We know you would have shouted out loud to your lord and savior whom you loved so much on earth “Jesus Igweeeeee!!!!!” And you would have said to Chimromma “No be God!!!!?  And she would have said to you “Mgba Agbontai!! Kini k’uwa gi ario doh dooh?”
We all miss you so much Aunty!!! We will miss your laughter amongst other things!! But it is WELL!!! GOD is in control!!!! You are in a better place!!
Adios Great woman of God! Great Daughter of Mary!
Adios!! Mgba Agbontai!!
Your memory will forever be a blessing to the Agboifoh family!!!

Love always Rosemary Ndekwu Nee Agboifo.

"On the way from earth to heaven, he will guide my soul" this lyric is stuck in my head, because you never fail to sing it for me anytime we speak on the phone. You took me in and loved me like your daughter. I remember you always called me whenever you hear any good news about me. You always sang and prayed for me on every phone call.

You're a rare gem mummy. I'm so sad to loose you. I miss your smilles, your laughter and your zeal for the work of the lord. I know, God will remember you on the last day and bring you back to life. I can't wait to see you then, to hug you once again. Sleep well mummy. I love you.

All I see are your smiles and words of encouragement. For each time salutations are exchanged, you ended it with a prayer and anytime I saw you I felt renewed because I knew an angel was going to speak into my life. She was known for her loving heart and spirited personality. A loving wife, a proud mother and a caring grandmother.

Dear Mrs Agboifoh ( I fondly called Raphaela's mum), our encounter was just about 2 years ago and I treasured the amazingly warm welcome and short chat not forgetting you also extolled the Arch Angel Michael (my first name). It was an evening of laughs and joy when I brought a parcel over to the house from your daughter. The news of your passing fills our heart with sadness. However we are assured that you are now at rest with our Maker. May the joy you exuded radiate continually among your family and loved ones and may your legacy be perpetuated. Adieu Ma! God's comfort to Dad, IK, Chika, Oge, Michael ,Raphaela (Oyinye) and all.

HUMBLE MUMMY

April 13, 2021
Action!!! Oh I know I’ll miss hearing you call me....Action!!!.... I remember one time in the house when Daddy and his sisters were having meeting in the sitting room and I and Michael was sitting outside the house, Mummy came out to meet us outside, you could see that she had something to say in the meeting going on inside the house but out of humility she came out to meet us outside. If i can remember correctly she said, Let me excuse them he is having meeting with his Sisters and I am a Wife. That day I saw humility, respect and meekness in that single action, I was impressed and I learnt  from her action.

Mummy is ever smiling, happy, cheerful, caring, beautiful and walked majestically. I’ll remember Mummy for being joyful and by God’s Grace I know she i singing happily in God’s presence. Amen
