Dera Lee Beck Estes , 84, a longtime resident of Sandy Plain passed away Saturday, May 25th 2013 at Durham Regional Hospital.
A native of Wake County the widow of Leon Estes and the daughter of the late Elmos and Mattie Holloway Beck. She was a member of Union Baptist Church and retired from Mt. Hope Finishing Company after thirty-four years of service.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 28th 2013 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor by Rev. Dan Hill. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor.
Surviving are a daughter, Brenda C. Estes Davis and husband Donald of Stem, a granddaughter, Rita Dale Williams of Oxford and one great granddaughter, Eden Bentley. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Webster, a sister, Shirley Lineberry, a twin sister, Vera Beck, three brothers, Buck Red Beck, Maurice Beck and Bobby Beck.
Flowers accepted or memorials can be made to Union Baptist Church, 4024 Old Weaver Trail, Creedmoor, NC 27522.
Visitation will be held Monday evening, May 27th 2013 at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home.
