Dear Dorcas,

For the time we interacted, you have left impressions and memories. You were passionate about your children and family and you accorded the same passion to your work. You were an amiable companion at work that was always handy with a funny joke and you knew how to diffuse tension and make people smile. You were also meticulous and full of smiles. They say God calls the best early and maybe that is why you have left us.

Adieu Sister, friend and colleague.

I lack words to express myself. This hurt badly . We were all young and playful while back in secondary school. Her brilliance is next to nothing. Dorcas was playful, equally serious. She calls me Godix and sometimes Otukpo. We played a lot , laugh a lot and made jokes. You can't help but feel the positive energy she emanates. She is of God and her faith is well grounded. Rest assured. She is with God. Rest on Dorcas. Will miss you a lot. May God comfort the entire family and gives you strength to hold on at this time.

TRIBUTE TO DORCAS - (Dr Wilson E. Balogun)
With a heavy heart and absolute reluctance, I write to say goodbye to my beloved sister in-law Dorcas, a beloved sister that I fondly called Dorky with joy and excitement.
My first meeting with you in Minna prior to becoming an in-law was charming, joyous, and refreshing in my memory. Meeting you reassured me of the brighter family bond that lies ahead as your personality was endearing, accommodating and infectious.
Your brilliance, eloquence, and succinct reading of the family letter of love during my traditional marriage was a testimony of your love for our union and respect for my wife. Your message was delivered with high intellectual acumen and audaciously presented with glamour to the amazement of our guests and families with thunderous ovation. You stole my heart and endeared me to get closer to my new family with all these attributes.
My last encounter with you on Saturday the 22nd of May 2021 in songs and prayer of which your voice was so audacious and angelic will never be forgotten. Lydia and I did not suspect this will be our last moments with you on earth. You are Gods Angel, beautiful in and out and truly served Him alone all through your journey in this world. Your love for Christ is demonstrated and showcased with pride throughout your journey here. Our loss is heavens gain. You will never be forgotten my dearest sister in-law.
You have consistently declared in all forums your love for Christ, and this had been evident in all your dealings with humanity – Quote from your social media – “My name is Dorcas Edward-Uroko and I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God” - Unquote. You obviously finished strong in Christ! You will remain a General in His vineyard till eternity.
My wife and I love you dearly, we will miss you more than words can ever express. My entire Balogun dynasty pay you special tribute on this day and you will forever be part of our family. You left us far too soon, but you will always be in our hearts and souls as we look forward to the time when we are together again in eternity.
To your husband, daughters, siblings and our dear mummy, I say take heart. Our trust in the Lord remains stronger more than ever before with an assurance of us knowing fully well that you will be resting in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ till we meet again. With flowing tears, good night my dear Dorky.

My dear friend, the news of your passing came to me as a rude shock. I am still trying so hard to understand the reason for your early exit.
Dorcas the brilliant, determined and bold amazon. Since I first met you in 1995, our friendship has taken us through different stages of life and we bonded at some point as sisters . I remember our hot arguments, debates in secondary school and later in our lives we shared moments to discuss our challenges in our academics, our all night ready schedules, ur fitness routines, relationships e.t.c at A.B.U and our home front. I will miss your smiles, your 'big sister' roles, the times we shared in gisting, praying and calls we exchanged especially during birthdays and Christmas. I rejoice knowing that you were my friend indeed, the testimonies keeping rolling in of, the lives you touched. . I pray that all those who loved you will be consoled by the holy spirit. My heartfelt condolences to your immediate and extended families and friends. I pray that God will always protect and guide the children you left behind. Amen
Rest on my dear friend, Adieu

I have fought so much about what to even say in this, but lady Dorcas all the way from ABU Zaria where we knew the family, you were very focused in order to get somewhere and you fought through every crooked path and today, Heaven gained one of its own. We will miss you but God knows. Rest in the bosom of the Almighty. Sleep on beloved.

It's so sad this world is useless, death has no respect for anyone ,it just plays on who it wants. I feel deeply sorry this is happening to the Adepoju at this moment, it really so heart wrenching. I haven't met Dorcas in person but I learnt and I have seen she is was beautiful..mmmh! What a useless life indeed. I pray my the Lord give us all the fortitude to bear this costly loss and may He give us the grace to live every day of our lives as if it's the last day we are spending on earth.

It's amazing how the mystery of life unfolds...

After two weeks of your resumption in Makurdi branch, my bond with Patricia Goja and her work style made me feel working with another CSM was going to be difficult.

You consistently sent for me, I didn't turn my self in untill I needed You. You made me understand how much more I needed you to move on. I took up your assignments and we began to put logic together and find solutions.
I made many references to your sick leave and how your recovery was imperative for my success on those assignments...

It's hard to believe that you are no where to guide me on.

My prayer for you Is a peaceful eternal rest with the Lord Jesus Christ.
'Till we meet to part no more'.

Sir Edward, be consoled. God will not abandon you and your Children.

My only consolation is that you are in the hands of God,you touched my life & the kids in different positive ways, you fought a good fight of faith,we the Edward Uroko's would continue to miss you and never forget you-  the Wife of my youth

Your death came to me as a rude shock. We thought it was just an ordinary sickness and we were expecting to see you back in the office office on Monday morning only for us to receive the saddest news that you were dead.
S O P as I normally call you who can believe that you are no more, who will take absolute care of the children you left behind.
My prayer is that God will take absolute control of everything and comfort your family you left behind.
May your soul rest in the bosom of our Lord Jesus. Amen

It was a shock to hear of Dorcas's demise when Lee called to let me know. I didn't really have a relationship with her 'cos she was my friend's younger sister. I believe we met twice. Once in Minna and once at Lee's wedding. She was such a gentle reserved soul whose life revolved around her family and I know her passing away is not easy to come to terms with.
Rest in peace Dorcas!

So sad indeed!
Can never think of my FCMB accounts without remembering her. Far back in 2008 I walked into her Banking hall to make a payment on behalf of my Distributor, and there she goes wooing me with insistent to open an account with her Bank. Which I did much later.
She's a problem solver, courageous and bold, outspoken and straight forward and a lover of Truth.
She posses a true quality of Leadership. Committed and Consistent in her Job.
A Lover of God!
May your Soul rest perfectly at the bosom of the Lord and grant all your family members the fortitude to bear the irreparable lost.
Sleep on Sister, till we meet to part no more.

From Victoria Manyam,
Madam Dorcas was just not a boss but a mother figure, a friend and a sister to me. I remember the first day she scolded me, then she said after crying come and buy yam let's eat, she encourages me to be a better version of me, she cares for me like her own daughter, a day doesn't pass without her asking if I've eaten or not.... I miss you very much ma, and I love you so much.. I pray God grant you enternal rest ma. Just as you created a special place in my ur heart, so shall ur place be special in heaven ma.

This is hardly a goodbye,
so I won’t weep anymore,
because now you’re in better place
than you ever were before.
Even though we will miss you,
and we will think about you every day,
you’ll always be remembered,
and that’s all I have to say, and may God give your family the fortitude to bear this loss, Rest in peace.

How does one express the amazing and spirit of Dorcas. Her selflessness and her unwavering commitment .
The best of words can not truly capture this sense of loss. You will always be remembered as a very strong woman that doesn't easily give up.
I still vividly remember university days, how you will get up early in the morning for your workout, then come back to have one or two slices of bread with cabbage and tomatoes, i found that amazing for my young African mind. You followed same routine most mornings. Wow!
You will be deeply missed in the years that lie ahead. My sincere condolences to Edward, the children and the entire family. May God's hand comfort and console you.
