Our Mother, Doreen left us way too soon. She was very young at heart
and loved life. She would often help the dis-advantaged, and loved learning about the native culture and its peoples. She really enjoyed her job with the dept. of Aboriginal affairs in N.S and Lands and resources in the GNWT. Her friends were special to her, as well as her children and cat " little Grey" . Not necessarily in that order!
She was a very spiritual person and would help out anyone in valid need. Being a single mom , she struggled thru a lot of trials and tribulations to raise her kids and become the person she was.
In addition to working for the Govt. , she also worked for the Toronto Star in the 1970's. She was an excellent typist, wicked fast as she could talk to you and type at the same time.

She leaves behind ; a brother: frank, cousins  ,neices, nephews, sons James and Scott , grandchildren Matthew and Michael.

She will forever be in our hearts and minds and will be remembered for being a good human, Mother, friend, and if there is a heaven, she will surely exist there with her Mother.
