Dori had friends from every walk of life and from every part of the world! Here she is with (5) of her sister-in-laws in Lake Tahoe! Mary, Roberta, Bev, Teresa, and Loretta. They went on "sister retreats" every year!

Al & Dori met through a mutual friend and the rest is history - Thank you Carol Bennick! The wedding was magical and the honeymoon in Europe was unbelievable! It could not last long enough!
Dori's Painting Career

Dori loved to paint and taught a variety of art classes in N. CA. She painted everything from her home to her friends and family's homes, to her clients homes, and even the "Street of Dreams" homes! She painted pictures, tables, chairs, all kinds of furniture, floors, ceilings, walls, clothing, artifacts, jewelry, and even painted her children! Dori loved to paint, draw, sew, design jewelry, and she continued to create items of beauty throughout her life!

Dori was born in S. CA along with her two brothers, Danny & Timmy. Her parents, Pat & Diane raised their children to be free spirits and they all turned out perfectly - They are all free spirits and love celebrating life together whenever possible!

Dori Powell was born in Encino and grew up in Canoga Park, CA. Dori moved to Northern California after school and has lived in the bay area for over (20) years. Dori is survived by her loving husband Al and their (2) beautiful children, Grant and Sophia.
Dori was an artist at heart and was always creating new artwork or painting new pictures. She taught art classes throughout N. CA and she will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and previous students that loved taking her art classes.
