Doris Evans Davis, 73, a native of Granville County passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham, N.C.

She was the daughter of the late Archie Robert and Sallie Jane Evans. She was a member of West Oxford Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. For many years Mrs. Davis was affiliated with the family business, Davis Wholesale.

Private Graveside services will be held at Elmwood Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 by Rev. Wes Garner, Jr.

Surviving are her husband James Robert Davis of the home, a son, Richard Carlyle Ezelle, Jr. (Shelia), a daughter, Kimberly Ezelle Jones, both of Oxford, a sister, Edna Rose Huss of Roanoke Rapids and a brother, David “Tootsie” Evans of Oxford, two grandchildren, Chelsea Marie Ezelle and Kyle Madison Ezelle. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Nellie Dickerson, Mozel Neil, Hazel Dixon and Pansy “Red” Evans, three brothers, Ollie, Robert and Archie “Bootsie” Evans.

The family will receive friends and family at the home of Rick and Sheila Ezelle, 5550 Madison Lane Oxford, N.C. 27565.
