Doris Scroggs Williford, 81, a longtime resident of Granville County, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Granville Medical Center.

Doris was a native of Pineville, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Bert J. Scroggs and Irene Reynolds. She was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Mast Drug Store.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday March 4th 2017 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford. Burial will be in St. James Catholic Church Cemetery in Henderson.

Surviving are a daughter Lisa Williford Williams (Steve) of Franklinton, a son, John Dillard Williford III of Oxford, a sister, Murlene Gallet (Jimmy) of Pineville, Indiana, and two grandchildren Justin and Ryan Williams both of Franklinton. She was preceded in death by her husband John D. Williford Jr.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 12:30-2:00 PM at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times at the home.
