On March 7th 2019 everything changed in our family. Dorothea passed away with Stewart her loving husband of 55 years at her side.

Dorothea was a lot of things to a lot of people: adoring wife, doting mother, fabulous mother-in-law, incredible grandmother, awesome: sister, sister-in-law, cousin, aunt and, loyal friend.

Stewart, his sons, Darryl (Lorie), Steven (Isabel) and grandchildren Kyle (Meryn), Wyatt and Alicia will miss her smile, her voice, her hugs and kisses.

Rest in Peace - Dorothea

ARRANGEMENTS: Dorothea's wish was to be cremated. We've honoured her choice. We are planning a Celebration of Dorothea's Life at a later date in the Spring when her favourite flowers are blooming.

We will update this page with details.

Please take a moment to view our GALLERY of photos... we've enjoyed flipping through pictures that tell Dorothea's story... It takes a bit of time so we will continue to add to it in the coming weeks.

We invite you to share a story on the STORIES tab - upload a picture, a video or a cherished memory.

We had a wonderful Aunt who never really grew old. She had a smile made of sunshine and a heart full of gold. We now have a beautiful Angel up in heaven who we will always send kisses and letters of love Xxxxxxxxxxxx

Dorothea, we had some wonderful travels together. People used to say to Lorie and Darryl “what do you mean your parents travel together?” We’ve always enjoyed each other’s company and a special friendship. Some great times and wonderful memories. Love to Stewart and all the family both here and in Scotland.

“When you speak of her,
speak not with tears,
for thoughts of her should not be sad.
Let memories of the times you shared
give you comfort,
for her life was rich
because of you.” unknown
RIP Dorothea - Your memory lives on in our boys - xoxo Lorie

"My wife, my family, my friends - they've all taught me things about love and what that emotion really means. In a nutshell, loving someone is about giving, not receiving." N. Sparks
All my love, Stewart xo

When I heard Nat King Cole sing this song the first time, it summed us up perfectly. I decided it would be our song... Today, this song choked me to tears - so here it is Dorothea love,Stewart That Sunday, That Summer .
