I liked Dotty from the first day I met her. We did the Saturday Lunch
Bunch together for 6 years. She was a great Lady! We also went
to the exercise room for a time, but my legs gave up. She was just a
wonderful friend to me. Rest in peace, Dotty, I love you.  Sandy.

My grandmother was a wonderful woman and truly inspirtational by her faith and hard work ethic. I will truly miss her and all of the conversations we had together. I know that upon her passing, she wanted nothing more than to RIP with my grandfather. I truly hope she has found this wonderful peace and she will live on through my memories forever.

Thank you so very much for teaching me to type, Mrs. Libby. You taught me a life skill that I have used ever since. Because of that I insisted my boys take typing class. You will always be remembered as one of my favorite teachers. Rest in peace.

Mrs. Libby was truly an inspiration for me. I had her for a teacher in high school, and she always made learning so enjoyable. She helped me believe in myself, and I truly credit a great deal of my success to her. She was a tremendous person, and I'm truly grateful to have shared a part of her life, as so many did. RIP Dorothy! A life well lived!

Mrs. Libby-may God continue to bless you as you journey home to Him. Your legend in Big Rapids will be unforgettable to many. Thank you for being such a stern, yet meek and mild, educator. I learned the MOST from you and it served me well throughout my journey. You will never be forgotten.

Dorothy Libby was a valued member of our high school staff during my tenure as principal (1979-1987). She was truly an outstanding teacher, and a perfect example of the Greatest Generation. The world has lost a fine person. She will be missed. May God rest her soul!

Mrs. Libby taught me the life skills that I needed to get a decent job to support my family. I remember her fondly and had the utmost respect for her. She lived down the road from me growing up and she was such a caring and wonderful woman. She touched the life of many.

Past Shorthand teacher

I took Shorthand and Typing from Ms Libby at Big Rapids High School in the late 60's.  She had so many stories to tell and encouraged us that we could go far in business with our skills in shorthand and typing.  I am still a secretary all these years later and am sure it is due to her inspiration.
