Dorothy Lorene Edwards Butler, 72, of Valley, Alabama passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016, in Columbus, Georgia.

Mrs. Butler was born Saturday, January 8, 1944, in Langdale, Alabama, the daughter of the late Myrtle Lorene Gordon Butler and William Joseph Butler. She was a member of Roper Heights Baptist Church and retired from NOK. She loved to travel with her husband, Don.

Survivors include her husband, James Don Butler of Valley; her daughter, Donna Butler McDaniel (Dave) of LaGrange; her son, Donnie Butler of Valley; her grandchildren Kris McDaniel of Valley, McCall Butler, Slade Butler and Brock Butler all of Smyrna, Georgia; her great grandchildren, Kelsie, Austin and Brady McDaniel; her sisters, Rachel Hammock of Valley and Geraldine Hood (Hugh) of Lanett and numerous nieces and nephews . She was preceded in death by her son William Jeffrey Butler.
