Dorothy E. Geiss, 94, of Toms River, died peacefully on Monday, May 1st at Complete Care Holiday City. Dorothy, daughter of Mabel (Smith) & John Dailey, was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ before moving to Jackson in 1997, then to Toms River in 2016. She was employed by Hudson City Savings Bank (now it's M&T Bank), Fifth Ward Branch, Downtown Jersey City and was an assistant manager when she retired in 1993 after 25 years of service. Dorothy loved life, her family & friends, her job, the Jersey Shore and gambling in Atlantic City and was a devotee of the Blessed Virgin Mary. She graduated from St. Michael's High School and was proud to have earned 12 college credits in banking from St. Peter's College.
She was predeceased by her high school sweetheart, her beloved husband of 63 years, Daniel F. Geiss (2013), her 4 loving siblings: twin sister Gertrude Ryan (Bernard), sister Mary DeBlasio (Vinnie), and brothers John Dailey (Alice) and George Dailey (Betty) plus her beloved daughter-in-law Debbie Good and son-in-law Thomas Fogu and nephews Kevin & Mark Dailey and Johnny DeBlasio.
Dorothy is survived by her 3 loving children: son Danny, daughters Kathy Fox Priore (Carmine) and Cheryl Fogu, 3 grandchildren: George Gallagher (Danielle), Vanessa Fox (Michael Bino) and Matthew Fox (Francesca) and 5 great-grandchildren: Peyton, Addison & Jake Gallagher and Nathaniel & Noah Bino. She is also survived by her beloved nieces & nephews: Susan (Walter), Alice (Bob), John (Colleen), Bernard (Jill), Richard (Peggy), and John (Shawn).
Relatives and Friends may call at the DiCostanzo family owned and operated Lakewood Funeral Home, 6250 Highway 9, Howell on Thursday May 4th from 8:30am-9:30am. Funeral services will be held at St. Thomas More RC Church, 
186 Gordon Corner Rd, Manalapan followed by her interment at Maplewood Chapel Mausoleum, 169 W Main St, Freehold. Repast to follow.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Alzheimer's Disease Research.

Thank you to Dorothy's wonderful caretakers: the wonderful, patient Comfort Sefa and the late Linda Johanson. These two loving caretakers added years to Mom's life.
