Every once in a while, you come across a friend who “gets” you in a way that few other people do. She is there without judgement and celebrates your joys without envy and understands your silent tears when you are struggling. That person is your soul sister. If you have one in your life, you are very fortunate. Treasure your soul sisters, for they are a source of laughter and comfort in this crazy world.
Good bye to my soul sister Dorothy.

I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter and aunt. Dorothy truly tried to fight this horrible disease and what comes out of it, is the memory of a warrior on how to face it and carry-on. Hopefully, we have learned to be kinder to one another and love each other more in the present. The photos and music selected here are beautiful. Praying for your continued strength in the days and weeks ahead.

This is a poem that I found on line that best describes my mother:

What is a Mom?

A mom is one of life’s best gifts,
Someone to treasure all life through,
She’s caring and loving,
Thoughtful and true,
Someone who is always a special part of your life,
Someone who holds a prime place in your heart,
She’s a mentor, a confident and also a friend,
Someone on whose love you can depend.
A mom always has your best interests at heart,
She’s someone so dear and so good,
She’s a blessing, she’s a gift,
She’s a treasure like no other,
She’s someone that is truly wonderful.
Wherever you go, and whatever you do,
A mom’s love will always see you through,
A mom is truly invaluable,
Indispensable and unforgettable.
I wouldn’t want anyone but you,
And that’s why I’m so grateful,
that life picked you for me.

Dorothy - thank you for being such a good friend and neighbor. Our families have been through a lot together, and supported each other through the good and bad times. Thank you for that. Lou, we will continue to support you whenever you need us. We are here for you. Love, Chuck and Janis xo

Rest In Peace cousin Dorothy.  I will always treasure the long phone conversations and shared memories, especially over the past few months. Your strength and resilience were admirable.  I truly believe that our loved ones, especially your dad, greeted you and that is a comfort to those who mourn your passing.   My deepest sympathies to your family and friends. May they find comfort in their shared memories.  Love, Kathy Rossman
