Dorothy May Stevenson (Johnson), of East Amherst, New York, passed on April 06, 2021. Dorothy was born on May 07, 1931 in Durban, South Africa.

Dorothy carries the legacy of a hard working, dedicated and inspirational woman. Dorothy set the standard of the type of person we should all strive to be. She enjoyed classics such as Elvis Presley and Whitney Houston. Never having driven a car once in her life, she enjoyed a simple lifestyle that included long walks, soduko and word puzzles, quality time with her family, and the evening news. She is survived by two children, Earl Stevenson, and Conrad Pretorius; seventeen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacobus "Sonny" Johannes Gerhardus Stevenson; two children; her son Jonathan Anthony Stevenson and daughter Dorothy Ann Stevenson; her siblings; and parents Agnes Pauline Johnson (Andersen) and Reginald Ellis L Johnson. Services will be held privately as she laid to rest alongside her husband at Stonewall Memory Gardens in Manassas (Groveton), Virginia.
