Happy Anniversary of New Beginnings!
Dorothy Mae's collection of crayons was part of an exhibit for friends, along the edge of a beautiful, draped theatrical stage, in the little auditorium at her home in Woldale School. I remember this, because she gave me a tour of the 20-foot line of mementos. And what made them memorable? They were personal to her. What makes this memorable for me is her way of telling it. The groove which her words have worn in my memory is a gentle & warm song at the pace of life. Crayons are a treasure when we remember their connections to our own childhoods. She was reminding me: treasure is often nearby, when we appreciate our connections. I'm so glad to remember Dorothy Mae.
