A native of Columbus, she was the daughter of the late Willie Roy and Earnestine Paschal Pace. She retired as a Certified Nurse Assistant and Private Duty Patient Attendant. She was a member of Fresh Anointing House of Worship.

She was preceded in death by a son and daughter, Marvin B. Shields, Jr., and Janie R. Greene.

Surviving are four daughters, Geraldine Greene, Patricia Andrews, Joyce R. West(Sam) and Lavina L. Shields; twenty grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; three brothers, Joel King(Ernestine), Willie Paschal and James Davis(Elaine); two sisters, Leola Holloway and Addie Randle; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including her best friend, Christine Patterson.
