Dorsey Englebright Lumpkin, 75, passed away June 14, 2016 at Duke Regional Hospital.

A native of Granville County, she was the daughter of the late John and Virgie Englebright. She was a member of Mt. Creek Baptist Church and retired from Murdoch after twenty-five years of service.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 17, 2016 at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford by Rev. Lemar Wheeler. Burial will follow the Funeral service at Meadowview Memorial Park.

She is survived by her son, Johnnie T. Lumpkin and wife Crystal of South Hill, Virginia, a brother, Edward Englebright and wife Judy of Oxford, six grandchildren; Lindsey Lumpkin (Brady) of Winterville, Kristie Lumpkin and Kaylee Lumpkin, of Oxford, Amanda Lumpkin and Elton Lumpkin of Palm Bay, Florida and Abigail Bowen of South Hill, Virginia, three great grandchildren; Bailey, Riley and Elton Lumpkin of Palm Bay, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Thomas Lumpkin, a son, Elton Todd Lumpkin, four sisters; Lizzy Murray, Wilma Englebright, Vera Moore and Deborah Bollin, two brothers; Kenneth and Dolpus Englebright.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening, June 16, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford.

Flowers are accepted.
