His Life

The son of Douglas, Jr. and Velma Davison Bryant of Midland, Ga, Douglas was born in Ft. Benning, GA and was a 1987 graduate of Kendrick High School. He attended Georgia Tech and graduated from Columbus State University in 1995. He obtained his juris doctorate degree from Texas Southern University-Thurgood Marshall School of Law. He was employed as an investment adviser/financial planner at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management with the Bryant Cate Houser Group. He also a Business Law Professor at Troy University. He served on the boards of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals, Thurgood Marshall Alumni, and the Columbus Regional Health Foundation. He was also a member of Sigma Pi Phi (Boule) and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternities.

He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Brandis Bryant-Baker. Survivors, other than his parents include: his wife, Kristal L. Bryant; a daughter, Kaela Maree; loving aunts and uncles, Martha Ward, Annie Marshall (Ira), Annette Evans, Bobbie Tookes, Marian Street (Daniel), Priscilla Talley (Calvin), Julene Brown, Sandra Brooks, Debra Ramirez, Marion Dumas (Kenneth), Mamie D. Walls, Willie G. Davison, Pastor Ira Davison (Faith), Gregory Davison and Ricky Brooks; his mother-in-law, Stephanie Williams; father-in-law, Tyrone Nutter; a sister-in-law, Mitzi Jackson (Atty. Stacey); brother-in-law, Reverend Zephaniah Baker; nieces and nephews, Caleb, Micah and Kirsten Baker, Andrew and Aiden Jackson; other relatives and friends.
