Thinking of you alot today dad,, I feel real close to you today,,, I know your watching over me and the kids,.. I speak of you often and its almost time for me to totally let you free...I been holding on for so long and not wanting to let you go.. but i have to at some point.. I have the memories and that's all I need as I know you are with me always in my heart and thoughts,, And we will be together again one day in the future...

His Life

What I know about my dad

February 17, 2019

Doug (dad) was in the war i know this much, He never really talked about it, and I never got to know his side of the family, Which is sad as it's like i only know half of me.

I know he had a family before ours, and i do know 2 of my half  brothers and a half sister,,

I loved the family trips we use to go on together, Use to go to kaikora in the hoildays when was younger, or go camping, it was so cool,,

Doug (dad) was and still is a great man to raise his families with the morals they have is the sign of a true gentleman, though bad times and good. Always worked hard,, was very straight up if you asked him anything,, never beat about the bush,, but also had a great sense of humor.
