Doug and I worked in the same office for a number of years. I knew he was an awesome person as he was wearing an Ohio State hat when we first met. We got to talking and he and I would discuss everything Buckeye related in the years we worked together. When I asked him in 2009 if he had ever been to a game and he said no I had to get two tickets (Pictures uploaded). That whole day was just great and he really enjoyed the whole day. Ohio State won on an overtime field goal. I asked if he wanted to go down to the field, he said sure and we did. We just basked in the whole thing.

This weekend is THE GAME. It will feel a bit empty for me but I know he is with all the other Buckeye fans cheering them on over ttun. Doug will be missed.

I met Doug in 1998 when I was putting a coed softball team together. About 40 people showed up to try out for the team there were so many that showed up for the tryout that I had to form two teams team A & Team B. Team A SAS Rhinos played in Oakley team B, Down n Dirty played in Roselawn, Doug was on team A. He played with me till 1991. He was always upbeat a good ball player and very competitive his nickname was Hammer. I hadn't seen Doug in years but him and my nephew Ray D became real good friends. I hate that I hadn't seen Doug in years but for the time that I knew him i could call him a good friend, I didn't know if he had any health issues but he can rest from that now and be at peace. He will surely be missed.
